The VW Fox as a race car??
While here in North America the VW Fox has been treated as an economy, commuter car, back in its homeland of Brazil the VW Voyage [Fox sedans] were raced! (Not to mentioned used as taxis, Police cars and others!)

In Brazil, there is a category of "Touring N" cars (National cars with minimal modifications and cost). They run in Interlagos (F1) and Jacarepagua (Cart) autodromes located at Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro States.
Nowadays
the cars that run in this category are the VW Gol, Passat and Voyage, and
the Ford Escort.
Usually
the drivers are people like us, who like cars, but they have money to spend
on this hobby.
In
the picture above is the rear of a white Voyage that has a funny phrase
written on it: "Encosta devagarinho..." This means Touch slowly
- because the cars hit each other very easily during the races.
Also "thanks" to Rodrigo Marassá Ojeda who sent me the big racing VW Voyage found on this page (the last one, with #17 on it).
