Intimacy Tips
A site full of tips on how to 'please her' in bed - some
information that would do some of us some good, but that would be 'taboo' for
you, wouldn't it?
50
Years Is Enough!
"50
Years Is Enough: U.S. Network for Global Economic Justice is a coalition
of 205 grassroots, faith-based, policy, women's, social- and
economic-justice, youth, solidarity, labor, and development organizations
dedicated to the profound transformation of the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund (IMF). Through education and action the
Network is committed to making international financial institutions
democratic and accountable to those who have to live with the effects of
their policies and practices. We formed on the occasion of the 50th
anniversary of the founding of the World Bank and IMF."
A-Infos
"A multi-lingual
news service by, for, and about anarchists. We have set ourselves a task.
To be the people's scribe. On the other side of history, hirstory has begun. And
it will have new authors. It kicks. And so do we."
ABC
Federation
"Political
Prisoners and Prisoners of War are not in prison for committing social
"crimes", nor are they criminals. Different PP/POWs participated in
progressive and revolutionary movements in varying levels. Some in educational
and community organizing, others in clandestine armed and offensive people's
armies. All are in prison as a result of conscious political action, for
building resistance, building and leading movements and revolution... for making
change. As people continuing to struggle for change, we are obligated and
it is our duty to support those people who are in prison as a result of
struggling to make change.
Abolish
The Bank
"We are opposed to
capitalism. We fundamentally reject a social and economic system based on the
private ownership of the means of production and exchange. We reject a system
driven by an exploitative logic that sees human beings as human capital,
ecosystems as natural resources, and culture as simply a commodity. We reject
the idea that the world is only valuable in terms of profit, competition and
efficiency."
Abrupt
"...Apocalyptic Optimism for the End of History..."
Adbusters
"We are a global network of artists, writers, students, educators and
entrepreneurs who want to launch the new social activist movement of the information age.
Our goal is to galvanize resistance against those who would destroy the environment,
pollute our minds and diminish our lives. Adbusters is a not-for-profit, reader-supported,
60,000-circulation magazine concerned about the erosion of our physical and cultural
environments by commercial forces."
Advocates
For Youth
"... dedicated to creating programs and advocating for
policies that help young people make informed and responsible decisions about
their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates provides information, training,
and strategic assistance to youth-serving organizations, policy makers, youth
activists, and the media in the United States and the developing world."
Agent
Orange
The never-ending legacy of the war in Vietnam
has created among many veterans and their families deep feelings of mistrust of
the U.S. government for its lack of honesty in studying the effects of the
rainbow herbicides, particularly Agent Orange, and its conscious effort to cover
up information and rig test results with which it does not agree. (Agent Orange
was developed by yours and mine's favorite chemical conglomerates, Dow, Monsanto
(who's trying hard these days to push for genetically modified food use in the
agriculture industry, which will have to use their chemicals), Hooker Chemical,
which operated the Love Canal dump, Diamond Alkali, and the Hercules Powder Co.,
which later became Hercules, Inc.)
Airhead
"...With AirHead's
emissions calculator you can learn how much air pollution you create, and see
how you compare to other people in the U.S. and around the world. We will even
keep track of your pollution profile, so you can come back and update it every
month to see if your emissions are getting better or worse.
Alliance
To Save Energy
"... The Alliance to Save Energy promotes energy
efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and
energy security."
AlterNet

nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and supporting independent and
alternative journalism. First launched in 1998, AlterNet's online magazine
provides a mix of news, opinion and investigative journalism on subjects ranging
from the environment, the drug war, technology and cultural trends to policy
debate, sexual politics and health issues. The AlterNet article database
includes more than 7,000 stories from over 200 sources."
Altria
Means Tobacco
"... In January of 2003, Philip Morris Companies
officially changed its name to the Altria Group, Inc., claiming that the change
was to clarify the relationships between the parent corporation and the
operating companies. This site is created to show the public the REAL reasons
for this change: to hide the "taint" of tobacco and attempt to restore
a corporate image brought low by decades of deception and death."
Alter Ego
"The Alter Ego has grown from a crappy
personal page (home of the fuzzy shit!) to a crappy personal page with a web
domain. My, how things have changed over the past three years! Our aim has
always been parodying and satirizing things of the everyday American way of
life. We have divided our efforts into individual sections that should give a
coherent focus of what "chafes our asses"."
Alternative
Press Review
The Alternative
Press Review can be your window on the world of independent media. APR publishes
a wide variety of the best essays from radical zines, tabloids, books and
magazines--essays that deserve a much wider readership than they currently
enjoy. Plus, APR publishes a selection of short and lively article excerpts in
each issue, along with reviews, commentary and columns on the alternative press
scene and other alternative media.
Alternative Tentacles
Home of counter-culture musical artists like the infamous Jello Biafra
and his band, the Dead Kennedys. "Just like life, the Alternative Tentacles pages
contain language, music, graphics, ideas and other assorted media devices that may offend
some members of the human population. If you are one of these people, turn back
now.."
American
Religious Right
With democracy
officially repealed by the Supreme Court, a right-wing junta running the white
house and the corporate mass media acting like nothing happened, alternative
sources of information are needed more than ever before. Here's a small
selection of personal favourites, plus a couple of sites that discuss electoral
reform.
Americans
For Separation of Church And State
"... speaks out through the media, public forums,
debates, lectures, and other avenues in defense of religious diversity and
church-state separation. Americans United staffers are not afraid to debate top
Religious Right leaders in any public forum - though they are sometimes afraid
to debate us!"
Anada
"The zine for people who think, feel and live..."
Annoy
"A meeting place for the
uninhibited"...The intent of this site is to annoy to disturb or bother in a way that
displeases, troubles or irritates..
Anti-MTV
"This site was named ANTIMTV.COM because I grew tired of
waiting for MTV to play a video I liked. As a matter of fact they practically stopped
playing videos all together. When they did, they played the same old crappy, computer
generated, Lee Press On pop stars."
Anti-Naturals
"... Art/zine group operating under the assumption
that "in all societies where modern conditions of production prevail, all
of life presents itself as an immense accumulation of spectacles."
Anti-Pat
Robertson/Christian Coalition Page
"When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring
Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media
challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you
maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to
govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'
-from Pat Robertson's "The New World Order," page 218.
Anti Racist Action
"to expose, oppose, and confront racist organizing and the far-right agenda,
through education, mass action, and support of broader anti-racist struggles."
Anti
Telemarketer
"If you are
like me, then you absolutely HATE being called by telemarketers. I've built this
site to provide for the world a humorous and informative way of battling
unwanted telephone sales calls."
Another
World Is Possible
"Established
in 1971, The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international summit in which
thousands of the world's most powerful corporate, government, and intellectual
élites come together to discuss their neoliberal agenda and develop future
strategies to facilitate their dominance of global capital The WEF is
essentially a multimillion dollar cocktail party in which the financiers and
racketeers of global capitalism brainstorm and informally plan the imposition of
"free market" imperatives upon the rest of the globe, causing the
destruction of the environment, the exploitation of workers internationally and
locally, the erosion of human, animal, and worker rights, and the forceful
replacement of native cultures with a monolithic corporate consumer
culture. Another world is possible!"
AOL
Watch
"Is it time to
delete your AOL software? Outraged netizens are calling on AOLers to show more
loyalty to small content providers -- if not the local internet-access providers
who really need their business. AOL's brash move to acquire Netscape
forever alters the landscape of the on-line world -- and some fear it may not be
for the better. Now more than ever, consumers need to watch AOL for signs of
their true intentions. Will AOL's chokehold on the browser world result in worse
internet access for all internet users?"
AQSA
Aid
"AQSA AID is
the response of Emirates Internet & Multimedia towards the cause of the
people of Palestine in the wake of the recent indiscriminate violence against
them by Israeli aggressors."
Arm
The Spirit
"Arm The Spirit is an
autonomist/anti-imperialist information collective based in Toronto, Canada. Our
focus includes a wide variety of material, including political prisoners,
national liberation struggles, armed communist resistance, anti-fascism, the
fight against patriarchy, and more. We regularly distribute our writings,
research, and translation materials on our listserv ATS-L."
Arnold
Watch
"... Former actor/now Calfornia Governor Schwarzeneggr
promised Californians he would go to Sacremento and 'make decisions that are the
wisest decisions for the people and not what is best for the special interests.'
He then immediately began taking campaign contributions from some of the biggest
special interests in Sacremento. Arnoldwatch.org will keep you abreast of our
new governor's actions, and whether he's fulfilling his campaign promise to
'clean house in Sacremento'".
Art
Insurgency
"...a reference of rebel art, and a buffet of links to
sites for and about revolutionary art and of subversive ideas. The art and
propaganda, being the forethought, and the barrage of theory and anecdotal
evidence of a world that can be fixed, as the afterthought, combine to form the
basis of lethal ideas and critical thinking. This intoxicating concoction forms
the basis of, what is referred to in academic circles as, thinking for oneself."
Artilect
"...a wellspring for learning about advances at the
forefront of emerging technologies. Visionary thinkers, scientists and
philosophers from around the globe are working to explore some of the most
challenging questions ever posed to mankind – from the mysteries of
consciousness and the human brain, to the fundamental nature of space and time
at its smallest scales."

August
10th
"PRISONER'S JUSTICE
DAY; August 10, the day prisoners have set aside as a day to fast and refuse to
work in a show of solidarity to remember those who have died unnecessarily --
victims of murder, suicide and neglect. ...the day when organizations and
individuals in the community hold demonstrations, vigils, worship services and
other events in common resistance with prisoners. Prisons are the ultimate form
of oppression against struggles of recognition and self-determination."
Awol
Bush
"... So, while the news networks have sat on this
explosive story for months, it's well documented that George W. Bush never
showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year,
possibly more, in 1972-1973. Despite all the talk about "honor and
dignity," Bush seems to have a problem meeting his commitments."
Bankruptcy
Data
"BankruptcyData.com
is the premier business bankruptcy resource on the web. BankruptcyData.com
provides instant access to information on thousands of business bankruptcy
filings from federal bankruptcy districts. The database is updated daily."

Ban
Outsourcing
This webpage serves to get people thinking about the issues
involved with Corporations outsourcing work to lower-wage countries. This is
used in many cases as a way to stop workers in North America from organizing
labour and asking management for better working conditions. Many blue and even
white-collar jobs are disappearing over to foreign-owned subsidiaries of global
corporations. This is decimating the workforce and rolling back employment
standards and I feel it is wrong. For as important an issue as it is to all
workers worldwide, I could only find one webpage on the web that dealt with the
issue at all in a critical light. Disappointing.
-Generation Fuck You Admin.
Be
My Valentine
"...Valentine's Day is like herpes: just when you
think its gone for good, it rears its ugly head once more. No wonder some people
prefer to call it VD. Valentine's Day is upon us once more: that special time of
year when chocolate manufacturers and greetings card companies encourage you to
demonstrate the extent of your fondness in cold, hard, cash (or the
satin-hearted equivalent) on February 14th."
Behind
The Label
"is a multimedia
news magazine and on-line community covering the stories and people of the
global clothing industry - the hidden stories of the millions of workers around
the world who make our clothes, the people who care how their clothes are made
and the multinational corporations behind the labels."
Benton
Foundation
"The Benton
Foundation seeks to articulate a public interest vision for the digital age and
to demonstrate the value of communications for solving social problems."
Bible
Errancy
See for yourself
all the contradictions that this hypocritical book full of lies really
contains! People who read the bible, and really believe that what goes
down in it, people who really believe that all happened - wow, you have to
wonder how guillable people really are.
Billboard
Liberation Front
"...Look up! Billboards have become as ubiquitous as
human suffering, as difficult to ignore as a beggar's outstretched fist. Every
time you leave your couch or cubicle, momentarily severing the electronic
umbilicus, you enter the realm of their impressions. Larger than life, subtle as
war, they assault your senses with a complex coda of commercial instructions,
the messenger RNA of capitalism."
Biotic
Baking Brigade
"The Biotic Baking
Brigade has a vision for our home here in Ecotopia. We are working toward a time
when corporate crooks and their lackeys in government and the nonprofit sector
will have to leave this bioregion for fear of our delicious mischief. Of course,
pie-throwing is just one tool in the large toolbox of resistance."
Black
Box Voting
"... For the first time in history, it may be possible
to rig an election on a national scale. Vote-rigging has been part of every
election process in history — but never before have so few people had access
to so many votes at once! The solutions won't cost us a cent, and they are
simple!"
Black
Radical Congress
"The purpose
of the Black Radical Congress (BRC) is to promote dialogue among African
American activists and scholars on the left; to discuss critical issues on the
national and international scene that pertain to the Black community; to explore
new strategies and directions for progressive political, social and cultural
movements; and to renew the Black radical movement through increased unified
action."
Black
Touta
"Black Touta
(freeform anti-authoritarian anarchist collective): A touta is a clan which was
in fact a small chiefdom. This word is used in some Druidic circles in place of
the term coven or grove. It differs from a clan because those who meet regularly
in a touta do not have to be related in any way. As long as the unequal
centralization of power exists the decentralized forces of the so-called
'powerless' will RESIST!"
Blast
Mapper
"Would you survive
a nuclear blast? Nuclear Blast Mapper will show you how terribly destructive
thermonuclear weapons are."
Bowling
For Columbine
"Bowling for
Columbine" is an alternately humourous and horrifying film about the United
States, about the violent soul of America. Why do 11,000 people die in America
each year at the hands of gun violence? The talking heads yelling from every TV
camera blame everything from Satan to video games. But are we that much
different from many other countries? What sets us apart?"
Boycott
America
"... One solution is not civil disobedience but
commercial disobedience - quite simply to stop buying products made by large
American corporations. From cars to cola, from sportswear to software, stopping
buying products from large American corporates sends out a loud clear message
that we are have noticed what is going on, and we are not happy with it!"
Boycott
RIAA!
"Boycott-RIAA was
founded because we love music. More and more the RIAA and the major labels have
attempted to lock up our culture and heritage through extensive lobbying,
outrageous campaign donations, misleading our political leaders, and lying to
the public, while misrepresenting the facts..."
Boycott
the Bell!
"...Florida's Coalition of Immokalee Workers called
for a national boycott of Taco Bell, demanding that the multi-billion dollar
corporation recognize its role in the exploitation of farm workers who pick its
produce and take steps to clean up human rights violations in its supply
chain."
A Brief History of Banned Music in the US

music that has been censored, banned, suppressed, or altered against the wishes of its
creators."

skate, and snow..." - cool counter-cultural-culture...

The
Campaign
"..The Campaign to
Label Genetically Modified Foods; Leading a national grassroots campaign to
convince Congress to label genetically engineered foods. Two-thirds of all
foods on supermarket shelves are genetically engineered. Shouldn't you have the
right to know what you're eating? 93% of Americans support labeling. Let's make
sure Congress gets the message."
Campaign
For Nuclear Disarmament
"Did you know. . .
A British nuclear-powered Trident submarine is out on patrol ready, 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year, to fire 16 nuclear missiles. Each submarine carries 48
independently-targeted nuclear warheads. Each warhead has seven times the
explosive power of the first atomic bomb. You can help stop this lunacy."
Campaign
for Responsible Transplantation
"... was launched over the irresponsible rush to
commercialize animal-to- human organ, cell and tissue transplantation (xenotransplantation)
using genetically modified pigs, and nonhuman primates [and CRTY believes this]
poses a grave danger to human health because of the risk of transferring deadly
animal viruses to the human population. It would burden our society with
numerous health, environmental, economic, ethical, and legal problems, and would
cause tremendous human and nonhuman suffering."
Canadian
Coalition For Good Governance
"... The mission of the Canadian Coalition for Good
Governance is to represent Canadian institutional shareholders through the
promotion of best corporate governance practices and to align the interests of
boards and management with those of the shareholder."
CANESI
"... CANESI is a network of organizations and
individuals in Canada who are compelled to respond to the injustice, death and
suffering in Iraq that result from the UN sanctions. These sanctions are
primarily driven by the foreign policy interests of the US and its allies
(including Canada). While we recognize that the peace and security of the Iraqi
people is dependent on many factors, including ones internal to Iraq, our
primary point of intervention is with the Canadian government and its allies.
Our collective goal is to have the UN economic sanctions removed in an effort to
promote peace and security for the Iraqi people."
Carbusters
"...Network promotes walking, cycling and public
transport – and ultimately the transformation of cities, towns and villages
into human-scaled, pedestrian environments rich in public space and community
life.."

Group
A starting point on
finding more about the hush-hushed Defense Industry contractor group based out
of Washington whose members have alleged to have been both from the Bush and the
Bin Laden family as well as ex-UK Prime Minister John Major and US Secretary of
State James Baker. How long all these people known and cooperated with
each other before and after 9/11? Scary stuff...

Central
Committee for Conscientious Objectors
"... CCCO has been there continuously since 1948,
helping people who get caught in the military's we. We still help them get out,
just like we helped people get out of the tragedy of Vietnam."
Changing
the Climate
"...The idea
of this Web site is to stigmatize the insanity of mindless American consumerism
and vapid status acquisition. The all too common image of the single commuter,
mom on an errand to the local shopping center, or parent taking their kid to
softball practice in a bloated gas guzzling behemoth is enraging those citizens
who have a sliver of conscience regarding their lifestyle and the environment.
We are trying to use ridicule and social embarrassment to change the habits of
the American consumer. Increasing publicity will turn the SUV from a status
trinket to the badge of shame that it is. In the old days society had a pillory
to shame people out of anti-social behavior."
Chicks Suck!
Definitely a product of GFY, this guy exemplifies the unspoken internal
dilemmas of some of the male GFYers - where the 60's delivered free love and peace between
the sexes, the youth of the 90's find themselves separated by barriers of sexism,
paranoia, and political correctness. Without any influences of love, the GFYers find themselves bitter and confused...

dictatorship."

Church
Arson
"Wherever there are walls I shall
inscribe this eternal accusation against Christianity upon the - I can write in
letters which make even the blind see... I call Christianity the one great
curse, the one great intrinsic depravity, the one great instinct for revenge for
which no expedient is sufficiently poisonous, secret, subterranean, petty -- I
call it the one immortal blemish of mankind..."
Cigarette
Litter
"... is dedicated to dramatically reducing cigarette
litter across the United States. Our goal is to accomplish this task by raising
public awareness of the issue and educating communities about the facts
regarding cigarette litter. We want to form a network of smokers and non-
smokers, individuals and businesses, non-profit and government organizations,
local police and fire departments, and anyone else who shares our goal of a
national landscape free of cigarette litter."
The
Citizen
"..is a national,
nonprofit consumer advocacy organization founded by Ralph Nader in 1971 to
represent consumer
interests in Congress, the executive branch and the courts. We fight for
openness and democratic accountability in government, for the right of consumers
to seek redress in the courts; for clean, safe and sustainable energy sources;
for social and economic justice in trade policies; for strong health, safety and
environmental protections..."
Citizens
For Fair Legislation
"... To develop an empowered grassroots group of
Americans from all backgrounds who are dedicated to human rights and
self-determination (justice) with an emphasis on the Arab view point. Our
short-term goal is to create a democratically elected panel that will champion
the cause of human rights through fair legislation. We also realize that
supporting the human rights of one group would also mean strong support for all
individuals' human rights."

integrity and democracy."

Counter
Convention

they can exploit our city to further their regressive political agenda [at the
National Republican 8/2004 Convention]. Together we will prove them wrong."
Counterpunch
"We've got
all the right enemies." CounterPunch is the bi-weekly muckraking newsletter
edited by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair. Twice a month we bring our
readers the stories that the corporate press never prints. We aren't side-line
journalists here at CounterPunch. Ours is muckraking with a radical attitude and
nothing makes us happier than when CounterPunch readers write in to say how
useful they've found our newsletter in their battles against the war machine,
big business and the rapers of nature."
CPSR
CPSR is a
public-interest alliance of computer scientists and others concerned about the
impact of computer technology on society. We work to influence decisions
regarding the development and use of computers because those decisions have
far-reaching consequences and reflect our basic values and priorities. As

choices concerning the applications of computing and how those choices affect
society.

sodomy, incest, bestiality, sadomasochism, adultery, murder, morbid violence, bad grammar,
or any deviate sexual conduct in a violent context, or the use of illegal drugs or
alcohol. But then again, it may not. Who knows."
Culture Jammers
Encyclopedia
"...exposing the cracks in a culture where a jammer can hide the
explosives. People are all too frequently blind to the ways in which our lives are so very
messed up by our culture, and the extent to which we each help to maintain this blindness
and this absurdity. Culture jamming, whether or not it is performed with any such
awareness, helps to poke holes in the veil we spend so much time helping one another to
construct."
Cuba
Polidata
"...a gateway to Cuba's political and military data."
Cursor
"...combines original material with a daily-updated
media and politics Web log that comments upon and links to the work of major

is available from the mainstream media."
Cut
It Up
"... is a small group of concerned Peace Activists who
are also Labour Party members. The aim is to force a change of opinion on the
Labour leadership by showing how much opposition there is to their current
stance [of the USA-led attack on Iraq]. The site provides a range of options for
action that people may wish to take, the ultimate one being to threaten to leave
the party should military action take place."
Dare
the Harlot To Rage
"Too often
have we been told that our bodies... our sexuality... our pleasure... was wrong,
something to be ashamed of. We've grown up in a society where our desires have
been subjugated by the oppressive belief that sexual indulgence is bad. Well
they're wrong. And we're not going to take it any longer! Dare the Harlot to
Rage Productions (DHR) was formed to put an end to these ideas. We believe that
sexuality is a natural thing... it's part of what makes humans human. Through
our many events we plan to have, we want to teach people that SEX IS GOOD. We
want to teach people how to be safe, be responsible, and, most of all, how to
HAVE FUN and not be afraid of their desires."
Dark
Skies
"... People have enjoyed looking at the night sky, one
of the most beautiful parts of our environment, for thousands of years. Everyone
should be able to see stars, the planets, our Milky Way galaxy and shooting
stars; but over the last 40 years, millions of lights have blotted out the night
sky for people living in towns and cities. Even in the countryside road lights
and security lights can cause problems for anyone who wants to see the
stars."
The
Daily Enron
"American Family
Voices was founded in 2000 to be a strong voice for middle and low income
families on economic, health care, and consumer issues. Since our founding, we
have educated the public and pushed for legislation on a number of vital issues
to make American families more secure, policies that will stop the abuses that
led to the Enron scandal. "
(The)
Day That Counts
"Are you one
of the 27 million? That's how many people in the United States describe
themselves as Atheists, Agnostics, Freethinkers, Secular Humanists -- people who
are non-religious, or have serious doubts about religious deities, teachings and
practices. There are more of us than there are Mormons, Lutherans, Jews,
Presbyterians; and yet, when it comes to public policy, Congress often does not
listen to this group of political "outsiders." Our government thinks
that you don't count. The 27 million of us are now threatened with the
imposition of a "Religion Tax" in America. If President George W. Bush
has his way, we will be forced to open our purses and wallets in order to fund
faith-based social programs across the country. Already, several states --
and even municipalities like Philadelphia, Pa. -- are using public money to
operate so-called "faith-based partnerships" with religious
organizations. The funding proposals go far beyond just providing social
services, though. We say that all of this is unfair, and unconstitutional! Are
Congress and the White House Listening? So far, Atheists, Freethinkers, Secular
Humanists -- the 27 million of us -- have been excluded from much of the debate
over faith-based funding. That's why we are launching THE DAY THAT COUNTS."

Dear
Mary
"...President Bush and far-right extremists want to
add anti-gay language to the US Constitution. As the openly lesbian daughter of
Vice President Cheney, Mary Cheney is uniquely situated to help her community in
this dire hour. Now that Mary's father has said he would support adding anti-gay
prejudice to the US Constitution, we believe Mary has a unique opportunity here
to do the right thing and make a difference."
Demockery
"...A DOMAIN
FOR CONSTRUCTIVE INSURRECTION AND CULTURAL TERRORISM - How far we have come, and
simultaneously how far we have fallen, leaves me with a strange visceral feeling
of amazement and disgust. If you think we have gone too far to turn back the
tide of rampant ignorance, unbridled consumerism, unchallenged hypocrisy and the
voracious commercialization of every aspect of human life, than I ask you to
think again because there are MANY of us out here behind the vast walls of
humanity that choose a different path. ITS FAR FROM OVER."

Digital
Millenium Copyright Act
"...Passed by the U.S. Congress in 1998, supposedly to
update copyright law for electronic commerce and electronic content providers.
Unfortunately, this law is very poorly written, and is now regularly used by

otherwise prevent free speech activity."

Disney
Sucks!
"... I believe that there are many good reasons to
hate Disney. If you're here, maybe you do, too. While I commend Disney for
treating gays no worse than other people (they seem to treat everyone equally
bad), Disney has a long history that, lest I be accused of slander, I'll just
say many people consider Disney to promote and profit from child & slave
labor, along with other human-rights abuses. Have you ever recorded a
television show, and watched it later? Disney is working hard to make that
illegal. Most people have never heard of DMCA or SSSCA. I urge you to to find
out about these draconian laws, and come to your own conclusion."

Earth

"While many environmental groups are members
of the American political establishment and essentially adopt the anthropocentric
(human-centered) world view of industrial civilization, we say the ideas and

things: Deep Ecology. Earth First! believes in wilderness for its own sake. "
Earth

Anti Consumerism Campaign
"This web

world poverty, environmental destruction and social alienation will fail, unless
they also address the role that the consumerist lifestyle plays in creating
these problems. . . . if we in the wealthy nations want to see a just, stable
and sustainable world, we are going to have to confront the issue of how
unfairly its resources are distributed in favour of a wealthy minority . . . it
is a myth to insist that rejecting consumerism also means rejecting our basic

"From the

the pollock tumbling endlessly in a trawler's net, to the tuna struggling for
hours with a hook in her throat attached to miles of line with thousand of
hooks, billions of fish suffer at our hands every year. But things are looking
up for fish as more and more people are choosing alternatives to fishing and
eating fish. Hiking, wildlife watching, and a vegetarian diet are among the many
choices that are better for us, the animals, and the environment."

Foreign
Corrupt Practices Act
"...Prohibitions against official bribery are by no
means unique to the United States. What is unique to the United States is that
its concern with corruption does not stop with its own officials but extends to
the corruption of foreign officials as well. By far the most important, and
certainly the best known, reflection of this concern is the Foreign Corrupt
Practices Act of 1977 (the FCPA or the Act), which imposes."

Fur
Is Dead
"The fur ads you
might see in magazines and commercials portray fur coats as a symbol of
elegance. But these ads fail to show how the original owners of these coats met
their gruesome deaths. Millions of fur-bearing animals—are killed each
year on fur farms by anal and vaginal electrocution and in the wild by drowning,
trapping, or beating."
Furshame!
FUR IS
DEAD! (And unlike Cher's career, it's not coming back!) Need proof?
Just compare the trolls who are trying to revive it with the countless
luminaries who have sworn off fur for good. In fact, it's hard these days to
find anyone who hasn't been repulsed by the suffering the fur industry inflicts
on animals -- whether they are caught in barbaric traps in the wild or
electrocuted or gassed on filthy fur farms. Fur
is such a social liability that we've come up with the perfect accessory for the
Neanderthals still dressing in skins: a paper bag to cover their heads!"
