THROUGH D-TRASH STORE It's Fall 2006 now and we are very very excited to bring you something we've had planned all year, the next HANSEL release, which this time is a pressed CD release, DTECH06 "Lorentzian Lineshaper"! The band has already released a ton of albums on D-TRASH, such as "Respond_Violence", the extensive 3xCDR set "Studies" featuring tons of B-Sides/live footage, and then "Subatomic Particles" EP as DTRASH56. This new album takes it to totally a different playing field with the HANSEL style and overall palette of sounds taken to a new level. Sung/Screamed/MC'd vocals over top of deep and unique breakcore glitcheats, with a full orchestra backing it all up, coming out something like TECHNO ANIMAL, BEASTIE BOYS, APHEX TWIN if they worked together on an opera. The band themselves say: "Describing our music has lately become a tedious task, since it encompasses so many things that people assume it is much less than what it actually is. Lately we have been associating our sound with old school hardcore hip-hop, like Public Enemy meets modern Bartok-era classical music and maybe Aphex Twin type beat edits and cynicism." The band recently unleashed this new album at the TORONTO DIGITAL HARDCORE FESTIVAL 2006 held at NEU+RAL in Toronto, Canada where they headlined the show, supported by D-TRASH acts SCHIZOID, UNITUS, PHALLUS UBER ALLES. The band performed a host of classic HANSEL tunes, as well as sure soon to be hits from the new album as "Cypress Milwood", the unbelievable PAT BENETAR? cover "Heartbreaker" or the ominous title track, all of which can be heard by clicking the MP3 links on the left.
