We are extremely! happy to present to you, our 100th release, in our 10th year of operations as D-TRASH Records.  Seriously years ago we did not set out to be at the stage we're at now.  When we got online we were just a bunch of kids on the internet who made noise that we wanted to share with the world.  Over the last 10 years it's been nuts building this roster of great artists, great working and collaborating with everyone who's been involved in those 100 excellent releases!  Everyone reading this who's released one of those discs, or even anyone who enjoyed any one of those discs, give yourself a pat on the back for supporting true DIY underground music.  A few months into 2007, we knew that the 100th release mark was approaching and were trying to figure what kind of release would make it special.  We had a collection of seriously great music videos that for the most part had gone unseen and were basically pet projects of the artists and thought it would be great to make a Music Videos DVD.  In 1999, D-Trash would never have guessed we'd be putting out this type of release.

What exactly is on this you ask?  We present to you 18 music videos (tracklisting to the side).  There is also a section on it where you can scroll page by page to see the album cover and CD info about each of the first 100 releases, while the best tune on each disc plays in the background in full.  There's also a section of very underground bootleg stuff for D-Trash fans who wished they could be across the world in Toronto or Stockholm or London, UK to see some of these bands play live?!

Formed in 1998, Canada's D-TRASH Records started as an online collective by members of CPUWAR and DJ RABIES as the beginnings of an international network of exciting and extreme North American electronic music artists. In 2000, the group formed into an official record label, headed by D-TRASH artist SCHIZOID, the label now offering pressed CD releases for sale in stores; as well, continuing the practice of releases of full-length albums through the internet as MP3 for download. The label set the underground on fire with an arsenal of genre-defining artists, sprouting into an international beast, with artists in virtually every country in the world. In 2003 D-TRASH Records CDs were picked up for a North American distribution deal with infamous German label DIGITAL HARDCORE RECORDINGS , WITH many D-TRASH artists also appearing on the 3xCD DHR compilation "Don't Fuck With Us".

To date, the label now has put out 8 professionally pressed CDs available in stores/distros worldwide and have now released over 100 full-length albums available for free MP3 download on the www.dtrashrecords.com site and plans to continue to foster the next generation of cutting-edge noise-makers.

In 2008, D-TRASH Records LOOKS BACK ON THEIR first decade OF OPERATIONS with this milestone 100th release; an explosive DVD of our artists past and present music videos!  D-TRASH head SCHIZOID: “It’s funny because we never really started with the purpose of that typical “music industry” aim, as far as things like “music videos” they’ve almost seemed like an after-thought in the grand scheme of the type of the DIY thing we’ve been trying to do. Now at this point we find we actually have quite a collection of artists’ music videos from our catalogue and I think they show off a lot of the rawking spirit and diversity of our the labels’ material.
