July
1st 2005 finds us this year not only breaking the release mark into the
DTRASH60's but also the DTRASH70's - and the year still halfway
finished!
We were psyched to receive the first album from our friend Steve
HYPERDRIVER to be put out on our label after working with him in various
projects over the years. Our first contact with him was back in
1999? when the "Broken Guitarz" cassette compilation of digital
hardcore came out on Steve's BEERGUT RECORDINGS, which houses releases
from many of his projects and even other DTRASH bands like
CONTRA.
Getting to business, "Just When You Thought It Was Safe..."
doesn't disappoint, serving up more of the same trademark distorted
extreme dance music. Minimalist structured experimental compositions
formed by corossive sonic elements, exploring different ranges of
frequencies from high pitched to deep and textured sonorities that are
circling, waving, bleeping, spinning, flowing, scratching, sqeaking...
chaotically waltzing and colliding through the powerful rhythms that set
many different paces with hardcore, tribal on acid, downtempo and
gabber. A hyper-speed blend of technoise with a very welcomed sense
of humor.

Videos section.
